The Appraisal Institute’s latest video features 2021 Appraisal Institute President Rodman Schley, MAI, SRA, outlining his priorities for the coming year.
Day-to-day life has changed significantly for many people in the past year and valuation professionals are no exception. The Appraisal Institute has taken the lead during these tumultuous times, launching a new webpage and webinars to ensure its Designated Members, and others, have the information and resources they need to continue working effectively.
In addition to serving as the profession’s leader during the pandemic, the Appraisal Institute will focus on addressing alternative valuation products, diversity in the profession and the declining number of appraisers in the coming year.
Schley also discusses the Appraisal Institutes’ New Member Model, which is the culmination of nearly five years of research and will shape the future of the organization.
The Appraisal Institute will continue to serve as an invaluable resource to its professionals, including the Find an Appraiser online directory, the Lum Library and the professional development program registries.
In the video, Schley also discusses efforts to support the appraisal portal legislation, ongoing plans to improve AI’s education delivery system and continued work to address the burdensome regulatory structure facing appraisers.
“We are always better together,” Schley says in conclusion. “We are optimistic about our plans for 2021 and know that the path ahead is bright for the Appraisal Institute and its professionals in the United States and around the world.”
