The Appraisal Institute hosted a webinar April 17 that included a dozen leading commercial real estate appraisers who addressed changing market conditions under coronavirus. The webinar’s content can help appraisers – not to mention investors, developers, financiers and other stakeholders – understand buyer and seller reactions to the market. The webinar also addressed appraisers’ short- and long-term considerations when evaluating property in this environment.

In an effort to collaborate with other organizations to convey timely and relevant information, the Appraisal Institute, the National Association of Realtors, the American Society of Appraisers, the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, and the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers presented a webinar, “COVID-19 Latest Developments and Collaborative Efforts,“ March 31. Topics addressed appraisal guidelines, regulatory revisions and stay-in-place orders during the coronavirus pandemic.
