Physician/Explorer to Address IVC Attendees

MacInnisPhysician, scientist, author and deep-sea explorer Dr. Joe MacInnis will be the keynote speaker at the 2017 International Valuation Conference today. A leadership and teamwork expert, MacInnis has led or participated in more than 50 of the world’s most important expeditions and has logged more time beneath the surface of the Arctic Ocean than any other scientist. He will reveal the primary principles of team genius – deep empathy, deep eloquence and deep endurance – and will demonstrate how these same principles can be used for valuation beyond borders.

Valuation Panel to Discuss Opportunities, Challenges for Appraisers

Leaders of valuation firms across North America will participate in a panel discussion today, where they will discuss regulatory challenges, the impact of technology on the valuation industry, and valuation trends.

Panelists include: Jim Amorin, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, of Atrium Real Estate Services; Colin Johnston, AACI, P.App, of Altus Group; Paul Morrassutti, AACI, P.App, of CBRE Limited; John Busi, MAI, FRICS, of Newman Grubb Knight Frank; and Ed Alegre, MAI, MRICS, of Colliers International. Peter Christensen of LIA Administrators and Insurance Services will moderate the panel.
