AI Distributes Exposure Draft of Proposed Guide Note
You might recall from last month’s message that the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors on Nov. 18 directed distribution of an exposure draft of a proposed Guide Note, “Consideration of Leases in Fee Simple Valuations,” to Designated Members, Candidates for Designation, Practicing Affiliates and Affiliates for review and comment.
The Board would appreciate your feedback and comments on the exposure draft. Please email them to guidenote@appraisalinstitute.org by Jan. 15.

- I’m saddened to inform you that David W. Craig, MAI, passed away Dec. 4. He was the 1985 president of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers.
- As always, December is a busy month for chapters, and the installation of officers. President-Elect Jeff Sherman, MAI, AI-GRS, Vice President Rodman Schley, MAI, SRA, and I have had the pleasure of making a number of chapter visits at installation events. Best wishes to all of the chapter officers and boards of directors for a successful 2020.
