The Appraisal Institute has announced its “Volunteer of Distinction” honorees for February: Keri L. Redford, Candidate for Designation, or Region VIII (Central Texas Chapter), and Raymond E. Carroll, MAI, of Region X (Florida Gulf Coast Chapter).
The Appraisal Institute’s recognition program honors volunteers for their service to the Appraisal Institute, to the real estate valuation profession and to their local communities. Each month, the Appraisal Institute recognizes one honoree in each region as a Volunteer of Distinction.
Redford is 2013 Central Texas Chapter secretary and treasurer. She served on the chapter board of directors in 2012. She was Education Committee chair from 2010-2012. She joined the Appraisal Institute in 2007.
Carroll was West Coast Florida chapter president in 1997, vice president in 1996 and secretary in 1995. He served as Education Committee chair from 2006-2008 and Young Advisory Council chair from 1998-1999, as well as on a number of committees. He joined the Appraisal Institute in 1979 and received his MAI designation in 1989.
Appraisal Institute Designated members, Candidates for Designation, Practicing Affiliates and Affiliates may nominate such individuals by submitting the nomination form to their chapter’s executive director or president. Each region’s honorees then are chosen by their regional executive director, in conjunction with the region’s chair and vice chair.
